Event Coordinator, Sales

Qualifications

• Education:
  
  Grade 12/Diploma in Events Management
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 6 years in event coordination
• Skills:
  
  Excellent communication, numerical, and computing skills
• Knowledge of Coral Draw/Pastel and Rendezvous is an advantage
• Ability to interact and negotiate with clients under pressure
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Flexible hours with own transportation

• Take over functions from the sales consultant after contract signing
• Coordinate events, obtaining information, floor plans, and client approval
• Compile detailed function sheets with event requirements
• Communicate late arrangements to relevant parties
• Daily updates of sales reports on client inquiries
• Issue quotations to clients within 24 hours
• Follow up promptly on all bookings
• Coordinate internal and external suppliers per client requirements
• Update function additions in the Rendezvous system
• Compile and distribute function sheets weekly
• Verify signage and menus before events
• Arrange and attend client food tastings and mock setups
• Create floor plans and obtain client signatures
• Conduct site visits and attend handover meetings
• Check function set-ups
• Attend weekly operations meetings
• Ability to upsell
