Talent Manager, HR Manager
dis-chem pharmacies’ in midrand has an opportunity available for a human resource business partner to join the team. The main purpose of this role will be to deliver integrated, value‑adding people & culture partnership across the assigned function (s). Provides management and employee support, drives people initiatives, and ensures operational p&c delivery that aligns with business priorities. The individual is a trusted advisor to line management, enabling a high-performance culture, supporting workforce readiness, and embedding dis-chem's people strategy and culture framework (formula for success).

- 4-6yearshrgeneralistorhrbpexperience,preferablyinretail,logistics,orhealthcaresettings
- exposuretotransformation,skillsdevelopment,andequitylegislation(ee,bbbee,sd)
- strongworkingknowledgeofsalabourlegislationandhrcompliancepractices
advantageous:

- knowledgeofhrissystems(e.g.,sap,oracle,successfactors)
- serveasastrategicpartnertoservicefunctionsandmanagersbyadvisingonp&csolutionsalignedwithhealthcareobjectives.
- translatebusinessneedsintopeopleplansthatsupportoperationaldelivery,compliance,and workforceoptimisation.
- provideday-to-daysupportonperformance,conduct,talentmovement,andgeneralp&cadvisor.
- ensureconsistentapplicationofdis-chem’spoliciesandlabourlegislation(bcea,lra,popia).
- managedisciplinary,grievance,andcounsellingmattersincollaborationwiththecentralerfunction.
- supportandcoachlinemanagersinmanagingfairandconstructiveemployeerelations.
- partnerwithtalentacquisitiontoforecast,plan,andfulfilstaffingneedsforvariousworkingstructures and schedules.
- supporthiringdecisionsalignedtobusinessneeds,skillspipelines,andemployentequitygoals.
- ensureseamlessonboardingandculturalintegrationofnewhires.
- facilitateperformancemanagementprocesses,includinggoalsetting,reviews,andimprovementplans.
- coachlinemanagersonperformanceconversations,development plans,andretentionstrategies.
- identify high-potentialtalentandfeedintosuccessionplanninginitiatives.
- partnerwithl&dtoensureteammembersattendrequiredfunctional,technical,compliance, professional,orleadershiptraining.
- supportlearningpathwaysforemployeesandmanagementteams.
- embedthe“formulaforsuccess”byfacilitatingawarenesssessions,rolemodellingdesiredbehaviours,andreinforcingculturedrivers.
- supporttransformationandeeinitiativesatsitelevel,includingmonitoringoftargetsand representationmetrics.
- driveemployeeengagementthroughfeedbackmechanisms(surveys,forums) andlocalised interventions.
- supportfunctionalworkforceplanning(scheduling,headcounttracking,leavetrends).
- ensureaccuratepeopleprocessadministration(contracts,terminations,transfers) and employee lifecycle dataintegrity.
