About Our Client

A premium hair salon based in the Midrand / Waterfall area is seeking a qualified Junior to Mid‑Tier Hair Stylist. The salon emphasises healthy hair above all : focusing on condition, using world‑class products, and delivering smooth, frizz‑free hair, vibrant colour, and treatments that restore and enhance manageability and shine. Services include cuts & styling, colour, keratin / smoothing / treatments, extensions, curly hair & special treatments.

The environment is professional yet welcoming, with strong technical standards and personalised customer care.

To support senior stylists by delivering high‑quality hair services, while growing in technical and client‑management skills. The stylist will contribute to a positive client experience, maintain salon hygiene and product knowledge, and uphold the salon's reputation for excellence in hair condition and styling.

• Perform haircutting & styling services (women's, men's, children's).
• Perform colouring services: base colour, highlights, balayage (as per skill level).
• Assist with advanced services: treatments (keratin / smoothing / repair), extensions, curly hair styling.
• Consult with clients on hair condition, lifestyle and desired results; recommend treatments and products.
• Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge (premium hair care brands).
• Maintain hygiene and salon standards: sterilise tools, clean workstations, chemical safety.
• Support salon operations: booking, stock control, client follow‑ups.
• Engage in continuous professional development and training.

• Essential / Minimum :
• Bilingual English & Afrikaans.
• Cosmetology / Hairdressing qualification or certificate.
• 1‑3 years salon experience (junior to mid‑tier).
• Proficiency in basic cuts & styles, blow‑drying, colouring.
• Good customer service skills; able to build rapport.
• Strong work ethic; reliable, punctual, presentable.
• Good communication skills; team player.
• Desirable / Bonus :
• Additional training in advanced colour techniques or keratin systems.
• Experience with extensions, curly hair, balayage, precision cutting.
• Familiarity with high‑end hair care product ranges.
• Ability to upsell products / services consultatively.
• Portfolio or social media showcasing styling / colour work.

Junior Stylist : 1‑2 years experience, performing basic cuts, styling, and colour under supervision. Expected to progress into more advanced services.

Mid‑Tier Stylist : 3‑5 years experience, capable of advanced colour, styling, smoothing / keratin treatments, and working more independently.

Standard salon hours (including Saturdays). Standing for extended periods and working with chemicals / heat tools is required. Professional appearance and adherence to hygiene standards is essential.
