Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Accountant at SDK Agencies in Midrand. The senoir accountant will be responsible for managing financial statements, finance activities, bookkeeping tasks, tax compliance, and accounting duties on a day-to-day basis; including basic HR admin, office management & payroll.
- Produce and distribute monthly management reports to agreed timelines
- Produce detailed monthly cash flow forecasts to form the basis for the working capital requirements for the company
- Forms part of all commercial decisions within the organisation
- Participate and take ownership of customer pricing
- Produce financial reports detailing actual expenditure against forecast to agreed timescales
- Produce required financial reports for members of the team and the Board of Directors
- Produce annual financial reports and statements to agreed time scales to comply with the requirements of the company and the South African legal framework.
- Develop annual budgets in collaboration with the Director
- Manage the payroll system to ensure that payments are made to individuals, SARS
- Lead on tax planning, including VAT related matters.
- Maintain current standing with all mandated local tax and benefits registrations and requirements, including submissions of payments and reports
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements relating to financial control, financial management and accounting
- Ensure appropriate external audit arrangements are in place and manage the audit process
- Ensure that all balance sheet reconciliations are produced on an accurate and timely basis to include bank reconciliations, debtors, creditors and inter-company account
- Ensure implementation and adherence to finance policies, procedures and systems across all teams
- Financial Statements, Bookkeeping, and Accounting skills
- Experience in Finance and Tax compliance
- Strong understanding of financial principles and practices
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
Relevant certification or degree in Accounting or Finance - Experience in managing juniors
- Ability to manage supplier accounts and debtors full function, including collections
