• Manage the full accounting and month‑end function for the life insurance entity.
• Maintain accurate financial records for policy premiums, claims and related transactions under IFRS 17.
• Prepare, review and present IFRS 17‑compliant financial statements and disclosures.
• Analyse data to highlight key financial trends and business insights.
• Reconcile financial data and support external and internal audits.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Educate stakeholders on IFRS 17 requirements and reporting changes.
• Identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes and systems.

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom (Accounting)
• BCom Honours or CTA
• CA(SA)

• Completed SAICA Articles
• 35 years post‑articles experience
• Proven insurance industry background with hands‑on IFRS 17 exposure
• Strong track record in month‑end close and preparation of financial statements
• Advantageous:
  Experience in company tax calculations within the insurance sector

• Expert knowledge of IFRS 17 and its application
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
• Proficiency in financial systems for IFRS 17 reporting
• Excellent communication skills to engage and influence stakeholders
• Collaborative, adaptable and able to work across diverse teams
