Senior Mechanical Draughtsperson

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Draughtsperson with a strong background in producing accurate machining and fabrication drawings for industrial fans, pressure vessels, non-pressure vessels, and related components
. In this role, you will work closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver precise 3D models, detailed technical drawings, and layouts that align with project requirements and international industry standards.

• Develop detailed 3D models and technical drawings of industrial fans, pressure vessels, non-pressure vessels, and related components
  .
• Produce piping isometric drawings and generate material take-off lists (MTOs).
• Refine design concepts during the detail design phase
  .
• Create and review designs using Inventor, AutoCAD.
• Interpret and apply information from process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Ensure proper design integration with other engineering disciplines.
• Prepare, update, and manage technical drawings, models, and documentation
  .
• Maintain structured and compliant drawing libraries in line with industry standards.

• Diploma in Draughting or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a draughtsperson in a fabrication/manufacturing environment
  .
• Proficient in Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Hands‑on experience in mechanical equipment design
  .
• Knowledge of design codes and standards (ASME, SANS, EN advantageous).
• High attention to detail with a focus on technical accuracy
  .
• Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
