C&I Intern

Job Purpose:

Research, analyses and evaluates requirements for Control & Instrumentation systems.

Designs, develops, tests, Commissions and maintains Control & Instrumentation systems and reviews the work done in cases where the activities are outsourced.

Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Electronics or Instrumentation)

Experience:

• 1-3 Years’ Experience

Knowledge:

• Extensive Knowledge of PLC Programming skills, SCADA & HMI design, configuration, and implementation.
• Extensive knowledge of Control and Instrumentation Design.
• Extensive knowledge of Commissioning of Control and Instrumentation Systems
• Extensive knowledge of popular PLC, SCADA, HMI and electrical products (Schneider, Allen Bradley, Siemens, ABB, Adroit, Aveva.)
• Extensive knowledge of Industrial Networking design and configuration (Ethernet, MODBUS, Fibre optic, Profibus, Devicenet, etc.)
• Intermediate knowledge of Telemetry systems
• Advanced Computer Literacy
• Basic knowledge of Electrical systems Design, especially MCC’
• Basic knowledge of Computer Aided Design Systems and Tools (AutoCAD Electrical)
• Basic knowledge of Soft Starters and Drives setup and commissioning
