Role Overview
The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading, managing, and driving the performance of the sales team to achieve revenue growth and market expansion. This role focuses on sales strategy execution, team leadership, performance management, and strengthening key customer and distribution relationships within an FMCG / consumer goods environment.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on sales leader with strong commercial acumen, proven people management experience, and the ability to scale sales operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed targets
Develop and implement sales strategies aligned to business objectives
Set sales targets, monitor performance, and drive accountability
Coach, mentor, and performance-manage Account Managers and sales staff
Identify new market opportunities, channels, and revenue streams
Manage key client, distributor, and strategic partner relationships
Track sales pipelines, forecasts, and reporting metrics
Work closely with operations, logistics, and marketing teams
Ensure consistent execution of promotions, campaigns, and product launches
Provide regular performance and market feedback to senior management
Minimum Requirements
5+ years’ experience in Sales, with at least 2 years in a Sales Management role
Proven experience in FMCG, beverages, or consumer goods environments
Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills
Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
Excellent planning, analytical, and reporting skills
Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle
