Coal Export Contract Manager - Midrand Full job description

We are seeking an experienced Coal Export Contract Manager to oversee and manage coal export operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and optimizing efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in coal mining, logistics, and contract management. This role will also involve overseeing operations of projects that we partner with and fund, ensuring successful execution and alignment with business objectives.

• Oversee and manage coal export contracts, ensuring timely execution and compliance.
• Monitor coal supply chain operations, including logistics, transportation, and port coordination.
• Ensure adherence to Mine Health & Safety Act (MHSA) regulations and export standards.
• Liaise with stakeholders, including mining teams, transporters, and regulatory bodies.
• Optimize cost control measures and manage operational risks.
• Conduct contract negotiations and performance assessments.
• Visit mines and travel regularly to oversee operations and maintain client relationships (vehicle & equipment provided. Compensation for travel-related expenses).

• Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency (Coal) (issued by DMRE)
• Relevant qualification: BEng / BSc / National Diploma in Mining Engineering (preferred)
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in coal mining / export operations
• Strong knowledge of coal logistics, export regulations, and contract management
• Proven leadership in a senior mining or contract management role
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills

Location: Waterfall Office Park, Midrand

Salary: R30,000 – R40,000 per month (depending on experience)
