Woodlake Animal Hospital – Veterinary Student Externship
Midlothian, Virginia
OverviewWoodlake Animal Hospital is a 4‑DVM, high‑touch practice that offers integrative, preventative care to a friendly, low‑turnover team. The practice is AAHA accredited (since 2013) and offers in‑house lab, digital x‑ray, and ultrasound capabilities.
Responsibilities- Gain hands‑on clinical experience with wellness and dentistry cases.
- Participate in basic and routine surgical procedures.
- Work closely with a supportive, collaborative DVM and technician team.
- Engage in mentoring and clinical skill development with multiple senior veterinarians.
- Currently enrolled in an AVMA‑accredited Veterinary School (VMD or DVM degree path).
- Warm, caring, confident, and collaborative.
- Motivated to learn and grow in a low‑pressure, “get‑to‑know‑you” environment.
- Stipend to offset housing and travel costs.
