Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of CT experience, ARRT certification, and a Virginia Radiology License.
Responsibilities- Work in the CT section of the radiology department
- Night shifts from 9:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Rotating call schedule every 6 weeks, including evening, overnight, and weekend shifts
- Performs CT imaging exams and general radiography as needed
- Utilizes GE scanner and Epic EMR, with experience preferred
- May be required to float to other facilities within the market
- Under physician supervision, performs CT scans and general radiographic exams, including intravenous contrast injections
- Adheres to all radiation safety and quality assurance standards
- Prepares, operates, and maintains equipment, recording all maintenance as required
- Supports patient education and provides compassionate care consistent with organizational values
- Participates in staff meetings, in-services, and rotates emergency call as needed
- Expected to help maintain a clean and stocked work area and assist with patient transport
- Required to adhere to established HR and scheduling policies, including PTO requests
- Must demonstrate teamwork and may assist with student, trainee, or resident education
- 50-mile radius rule applies for eligibility
- Current ARRT(R) registration and ARRT(R)(CT) preferred
- Virginia Radiology license required if applicable
- Active BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of CT experience required; 2 years of radiology experience preferred
- Broad technical skills and detailed knowledge of Radiology/CT modality
- Experience with Epic EMR and GE scanner preferred
- Must pass EKG testing on first day, with 2 attempts allowed
