Position Summary

The Area Wide Driver is responsible for transporting products and materials between warehouse and store locations in a safe and timely manner. This role ensures accurate deliveries and pick-ups while supporting overall distribution efficiency. The Shuttle Driver plays a key part in maintaining smooth inventory flow and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate company vehicles to transport goods between stores and warehouses.
  • Load and unload merchandise using safe handling techniques.
  • Verify delivery contents and ensure timely, accurate transfers.
  • Maintain delivery records and communicate status to relevant departments.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance needs.
  • Follow all company policies and DOT safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and store staff to support inventory transfers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED)
  • Valid state-issued Driver’s License
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in warehouse environments
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1) year of commercial driving or delivery experience
  • Familiarity with automotive aftermarket parts or warehouse operations
  • Experience using route navigation tools or delivery tracking systems

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role involves both driving and physical work in warehouse and store environments. Drivers will be exposed to seasonal weather conditions during deliveries. The position requires regular lifting, bending, and moving of merchandise up to 50 lbs., etc.

  • Candidates must meet employment eligibility requirements as established by U.S. federal law.
