The CSA PM1 Technician is a rotational position that works a schedule of 14 days on and 7 days off. The technician travels to and lodges at the assigned work location during the 14‑day assignment. This role keeps customer equipment running and interacts with customers in all situations.
Description
What You'll Do
- Perform field inspections and pull oil samples on engines.
- Complete inspection on engine/generator packages and submit Cat Inspect applications.
- Report to CSA supervisor, customer, and Pobot PSSR any problems or anticipated repairs.
What You'll Need
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Knowledge of Caterpillar equipment.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record; must obtain a CDL.
- Computer knowledge is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Effective communication skills for relaying information to customers and employees.
- Successfully complete Work Steps assessment.

Important Information
While performing the duties of this job, you are regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. You must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions, occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Required travel up to 100%.
This position is considered a safety‑sensitive position.
