We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Multi-Craft Scaffold Builder to join our Midland, Michigan production facility. This role requires a highly motivated person with scaffold building and modification experience who exhibits leadership skills, displays flexibility in working with others, has experience working in a chemical plant, demonstrates proficiency in electronic tools, and embraces an ownership culture.
VISA Sponsorship is not available for this position. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position. This role will be on site at the Corteva location.
What You'll Do- Layout, plan, build, secure, modify, and remove scaffold as needed to enable maintenance jobs and small projects.
- Help develop efficient work processes and continually improve work processes.
- Mentor / train others as needed.
- Responsible for management of the scaffold inventory.
- Work in Maintenance Management System (SAP) to manage schedules, order parts, track work orders, etc.
- Execute basic multi-craft tasks.
- Perform basic hand rigging of scaffolding and scaffolding parts.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of work experience in scaffold building.
- Valid US driver's license.
- Significant experience with and a solid understanding of scaffold parts, planning, and building.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety rules and procedures.
- Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort with basic tasks such as checking email and entering information.
- Interest in developing professionally with a goal of becoming multi-craft in the future.
- Willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Team player and willingness to work with other trades to complete the job.
- Understand that delivering to customers and doing so well is critical to site viability; willing and able to work a day shift with overtime and be part of an on-call rotation, including taking calls during the week and some weekends as needed to support operations.
- Scaffold building experience within a chemical manufacturing facility.
