FIELD SALES REPRESENTATIVE

The Field Sales Representative has the opportunity to join an exciting, established company with plenty of growth potential. This position requires a highly motivated, energetic individual with the desire to bring an expertise on drilling product applications. The Field Sales Representative is responsible to for driving sales growth, developing relationships and responding to the needs of our customers in a professional and timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain a well-coordinated and vigorous sales effort to develop and maintain a sales and service relationship with the client.
  • Manage and grow customer relationships, identify opportunities, and ensure high customer satisfaction and retention with strategic accounts, leading to increase in sales revenue and market share.
  • Analyze and understand the local and regional market, develop comprehensive prospect knowledge, including equipment needs, budgeting, decision-making, products, competition, and marketing characteristics
  • Travel to field (rigs) and develop field level relationships with customers’ representation on rig locations.
  • Become known to customers as a solutions expert, and from time to time, deliver technical presentations to customers’ representatives.
  • Investigate client concerns and challenges and assist in providing best in class technical solutions.
  • Establish an activity-based, account planning process to ensure we have a focus on accessing higher spend customers in each basin to ultimately gain their work
  • Represent and promote the company and its products in local and regional networking, trade shows, and technical events to drive marketing and branding efforts.
  • Help with managing assets by regularly surveying and completing a count of assets in the field and the staging location(s).
  • Assist districts with collecting product run data for billing and performance tracking purposes.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Five years related inside or outside sales experience in the oil and gas industry
  • University Degree in business, engineering and or diploma from a technical institute, preferred
  • Technical expert level in the drilling industry, with a broad knowledge of competitive products & services.
  • Ability to shift conversations with customers from price to value add (quality, performance, service)
  • Established industry contacts with peer support and recognition for providing superior performance and results.
  • Ability to upgrade knowledge in management, negotiations and conflict resolution.
  • Self-starter and enthusiastic approach and aggressively seeks new customers
  • Strong self-organization skills with the ability to work independently, effectively.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Good interpersonal, written and listening skills.
  • Details oriented, with ability to multitask.
  • The ability to establish credibility with clients.
  • Valid driver’s license.
