The Midland/Odessa area is located just halfway between El Paso and Dallas. It is also not far from Amarillo, San Antonio, and Austin. There is a strong community atmosphere, especially for sports lovers, with many local football games, minor‑league baseball games, and NAHL hockey leagues to attend and participate in. Outside of athletics the area enjoys outdoor and cultural recreation with places like the I‑20 wildlife preserve, the Sibley Nature Center, and the Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center.
Many families have chosen the suburb of Greenwood with the Greenwood ISD schools for smaller class sizes and a great education. Come see the pride of West Texas in the heart of the Permian Basin and the oil‑industry center of the state!
