Plans, implements and evaluates nursing care to adult and pediatric patients. Responsible for promoting positive interactions with staff, physicians, patients, families and other visitors.

Full Time

Days: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM & Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

• Maintains current knowledge of medications and administers medications in accordance with the hospital policy.
• Demonstrates positive effective communication, including education with patients and families, physicians and other healthcare team members, and professional communication skills.
• Demonstrates proficiency in using the electronic medical record providing accurate, timely and complete documentation of plan of care updates and assessments respecting patient’s rights and confidentiality.
• Provides a safe environment for patients, families and co-workers, including hand‑washing and adherence to infection control policies.
• Demonstrates professionalism including current AEDs and other competencies, following dress code policies, and participation in orientation of new team members.

• Participation in ongoing learning including plans to advance education preferred.
• Current State of Texas License as a Vocational Nurse.

• Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear. Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non‑clinical staff. The individual must use an assisted‑lift device or get another individual(s) to assist with the lift that is over these maximum limits.
