Position: Press Brake Operator (Overnight Shift)

Join our team at SI Utility, where safety, precision, and craftsmanship drive everything we do. We’re seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to support our fabrication operations by forming components to exact specifications in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, wear required PPE, and report any unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.
  • Complete required training and safety certifications in accordance with company policy.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate the press brake based on product plans and production schedules.
  • Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Create and maintain CNC programs to optimize accuracy and efficiency.
  • Operate the CNC press brake to form products that meet required tolerances and quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary Brake Operator throughout all stages of processing.
  • Report issues, missing components, or repair needs promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist in training new team members.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Foreman or Department Manager.
Quality Requirements
  • Learn and follow all quality standards in compliance with AWS D1.1 and other relevant industry codes.
  • Adhere to all verbal and written instructions from the Department Manager regarding policy and quality standards.
General Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Above-average communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong teamwork, reliability, and commitment to quality work.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 90% of the workday).
  • Occasional bending, squatting, climbing, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to accurately judge weight, distance, and height.
