Job Description

Entry level position, no experience required. All training must be signed off by appropriate leadership, with a coworker referral scored minimum of 25 out of 30 before progression test. Progression test after 6 months, requires 90% to pass. Basic hand tools required to perform PM services. CDL required. Must have willingness to learn and retain information. Follow all safety processes and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Progression test will be given after 6 months of service and requires a score of 90% to be considered passing.
  • Basic hand tools required to perform PM services.
  • CDL required.

Training
  • New Hire Orientation and PEC Training
  • On-site training on Liberty PM schedules by Shop Supervisor and Lube Technician II in first two weeks of service, covering fluid types, proper PM performance, accompanied by forms and paperwork. Maintenance Coordinator signs off on knowledge base before progression test.
  • Additional on-site training on paperwork for PM with Shop Supervisor and Maintenance Coordinator in first two weeks. Training includes appropriate forms and required fields. Maintenance Coordinators must sign off on knowledge base before progression test.
Cross Training
  • Parts Department:
    Must complete two days of cross training in the Parts Department within first month of employment. Completion must be signed off by Maintenance and Parts Manager.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety regulations and standards.
  • Explain differences in PM schedules.
  • Explain fluid type usage for each engine, transmission, power end, drive box, small engines and fluid capacities.
  • Identify all greasing points in PM service for both trailer mounted units and tractors.
  • Check u-joints and identify if replacement needed.
  • Basic equipment knowledge: battery disconnect switches, power up/down procedures, starting procedures of equipment.
  • Properly engage power take off on a Tractor.
  • Base knowledge of hydraulic systems and major failure points when proper steps not followed.
  • Check fluid levels after PM service; identify components checked running and no-run state.
  • Follow proper procedures to dispose of used oil and filters.
  • Other duties: responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.

Salary

$26/hr - $36/hr compensation will depend on qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
