Maintenance Technician (Fleet Technician I)

The Fleet Technician I is responsible for maintaining and repairing Mobile Storage rental fleet equipment, including containers, office trailers, and modular buildings. The role includes cleaning, maintenance, and occasional equipment modifications.

• Perform basic maintenance and repairs such as flooring, tiles, roofs, walls, frames, doors, leaks, caulking, windows, screens, painting, filters/dampers.
• Remove and install UR decals and equipment numbers.
• Hook mobile office to power source and check tire pressure and lugs.
• Complete assignments on time and within budget, documenting all work orders.
• Travel to customer sites to set office trailers and assist CDL A Drivers when needed.
• Execute equipment modifications per manufacturer specifications and local building codes.
• Maintain shop, yard, tools, and supplies; follow 5S guidelines and cleanliness standards.
• Store tools, supplies, and VAPs securely; keep yard free of debris.
• Advise supervisor on supply needs.
• Conduct inbound and outbound equipment inspections and processing per Rental Flow procedures.
• Operate forklift and safely install/uninstall VAPs as required.
• Show and exhibit fleet to customers when requested.

• Manufacture Mobile Storage rental fleet equipment: framing, paneling, trim, final prep, door/window installation.
• Perform equipment modifications according to manufacturer specifications, state, and local building codes.
• Document work and complete assignments within budget.
• Maintain shop and yard following 5S guidelines.
• Store tools, supplies, VAPs; keep yard free of debris.
• Conduct inspections and process equipment per Rental Flow procedures.
• Operate forklift; install/uninstall VAPs safely.
• Show and exhibit fleet to customers.

• High School diploma or equivalent (or combination of education and experience).
• Active state-class driver's license.
• Related maintenance experience beneficial; entry-level otherwise.
• Construction knowledge and background.
• Demonstrated time management skills.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use required information technology.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment, tools, and manufacturers’ warranty processes.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Exposure to bright light, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust or fumes (fabrication role).
