This is a permanent part‑time role at 0.6 FTE (Full Time Equivalent).
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill this vacancy, it may also be used to appoint applicants, assessed as suitable during this selection process, to the same or other similar positions at CAHS for up to 12 months. These can be permanent part‑time or fixed term part‑time opportunities with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.
About Our TeamThe Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in Western Australia offer support, advice and treatment to children and adolescents from birth to 18 years who are experiencing mental health challenges.
AboutThe Role
As a Senior Speech Pathologist in ICAMHS East you will apply advanced skills in speech pathology to provide assessment, consultation and intervention for children and adolescents presenting to CAMHS with language and communication disorders.
RoleYou will work closely with a supportive, experienced, and welcoming multi‑disciplinary team of mental health and allied health professionals. You will have a diverse role that includes:
- Individual assessment
- Providing feedback and support to caregivers and families
- Consultation and clinical guidance regarding communication disorders for other team members
- Consulting with schools and other community stakeholders
- Implementing individual and group interventions
This role may include occasional travel to other clinics within the ICAMHS Area East.
You will also have access to individual profession‑specific clinical supervision, and termly opportunities for education and networking with the Speech Pathologists in other CAMHS services.
