Overview
The Inspection Advisor II provides advanced quality assurance support for overnight operations, routine maintenance, and complex maintenance projects. This role ensures all work meets applicable codes, standards, and internal quality requirements while serving as a technical resource for welding, inspection, and construction activities. The position requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in fast-paced field environments.
Responsibilities- Perform quality assurance oversight during maintenance and construction activities, including overnight operations and complex project scopes.
- Conduct inspections in accordance with AWS, ASME, and company standards to verify compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, welding procedures, inspection test plans, and applicable codes.
- Provide technical guidance to field crews, contractors, and project teams regarding welding practices, material requirements, and inspection criteria.
- Document inspection findings, non-conformances, and corrective actions with clear, accurate reporting.
- Support development and implementation of quality control processes to ensure consistent execution across projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, maintenance supervisors, and contractors to resolve quality-related issues.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of applicable ASME codes, including B31.3, B31.4, and B31.8.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) active certification required.
- Strong working knowledge of ASME B31.3, B31.4, and B31.8.
- Experience performing inspections in industrial, pipeline, or facility maintenance environments.
- Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to changing project demands.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical documents, welding procedures, and inspection standards.
- Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test (UA), agility and fit for duty.
