Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Quality & Mission Assurance Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading aerospace and satellite communications company located in Midland, TX through % onsite work. The Quality & Mission Assurance AME will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and compliance of manufacturing processes and components supporting next-generation satellite systems. This position is ideal for candidates with a background in aerospace or automotive manufacturing, strong quality systems knowledge, and a passion for continuous improvement in a fast‑paced, high‑tech environment.
Responsibilities- Evaluate product designs and manufacturing processes for quality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards
- Lead root cause and corrective action (RCCA) investigations and implement preventive measures
- Develop and maintain quality documentation including inspection plans, control plans, and process audits
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives
- Support mission assurance activities by ensuring adherence to safety, regulatory, and customer requirements
- 1–3+ years of experience in quality or manufacturing engineering, preferably in aerospace or automotive sectors
- Proficiency with pFMEA, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and quality control methodologies
- Experience with AutoCAD, ERP/MES/PLM systems, and quality data analysis tools
- Strong communication skills and ability to work extended hours onsite in a dynamic production environment
