Job Description
The Planner/Scheduler III will perform and coordinate cost estimate preparation, estimating oversight, and quality assurance reviews for operated and Other Builder Operator estimates for all Gate and Funding milestones. The position requires an experienced professional who can work autonomously to maintain change control, develop project schedules, build cost trackers, and assist in the creation of project milestones and communications associated with projects.
This is a complex role requiring project management experience and the ability to translate needs into actionable work products.
- Maintain change control, cost reports, and project controls documentation
- Build and maintain project schedules and cost trackers
- Prepare check estimates and schedules to compare with operator-prepared submittals
- Participate in estimate and schedule assessments (verification of project cost & schedule bases)
- Work with project estimator, planner, scheduler, and client's accounting staff
- Coordinate and assemble monthly progress reports
- Work closely with client's project manager and team leads for regulated and non-regulated accounting reporting requirements
- Assist in creation of project milestones and communications associated with project
- Support process efficiency tools and quality assurance review process improvements
- Organize, plan, control, coordinate, and manage cross-functional activities
- Negotiate and broker successful solutions between internal coordination parties
- 10+ years of major project experience
- Project management experience
- Project milestones experience
- Previous experience in controls, planning, and scheduling
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline preferred; equivalent professional experience accepted
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power Point
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project or Primavera P6
- Strong working knowledge of SAP
Location: Midland, TX (With 2-3 Trips to Houston annually)
Schedule: M - F (With some OT opportunities)
Pay: $85/hr
