Position OverviewWe are seeking an Associate Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join an Enterprise Applications / Digital Manufacturing team. This role focuses on configuring and supporting manufacturing execution system (MES) interfaces and integrations. The position is well‑suited for someone looking to grow technical expertise in digital manufacturing, process automation, and user interface development. The successful candidate will help configure, support, and enhance MES applications that streamline production processes, improve data visibility, and enable scalable manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Configure, maintain, and enhance MES applications to support manufacturing operations
- Develop and optimize user interfaces, dashboards, and workflows for shop‑floor use
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production teams to gather requirements and translate them into MES solutions
- Support integration of MES tools with enterprise systems such as ERP, PLM, and shop‑floor equipment
- Troubleshoot MES‑related issues and provide support to end users
- Assist with documentation of system designs, configurations, and standard operating procedures
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through digital manufacturing tools
- Ensure compliance with data integrity, cybersecurity, and system validation standards
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5 years of experience in MES, manufacturing systems, or related software‑focused engineering roles
- Familiarity with MES platforms (through professional experience, coursework, certifications, or projects)
- Experience with Tulip is a must and strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Hands‑on experience building and configuring MES applications (including workflows, triggers, connectors, and dashboards)
- Exposure to manufacturing or regulated engineering environments
- Knowledge of enterprise system integrations (ERP, PLM) and APIs
- Understanding of lean manufacturing and digital transformation concepts
- Experience developing analytical tools using business intelligence platforms
- Experience with scripting or server‑side programming (e.g., JavaScript‑based environments)
