Sr. Warehouse Lead

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Sr. Warehouse Lead for a space-based cellular broadband network headquartered in Midland, TX. The Sr. Warehouse Lead plays an essential role in managing the storage, handling, and movement of critical aerospace hardware, materials, and components. This position will be on-site in Homestead, Florida five days per week!

• Receive, inspect, and process incoming aerospace materials, hardware, and components in alignment with company procedures and industry standards.
• Ensure all materials are accurately identified, labeled, stored, and tracked within the ERP or inventory management system.
• Pick, kit, and issue components to support production, integration, and testing activities for satellites, propulsion systems, and subsystems.
• Safely package and prepare aerospace hardware for internal transport or external shipment, adhering to NASA/ESA/DoD packaging standards as required.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliation, and reporting, ensuring full traceability of controlled items.
• Comply with cleanroom, ESD, and FOD control protocols when handling sensitive space hardware.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, etc.) to move heavy or oversized components safely.
• Assist with audits and inspections conducted by customers, regulatory agencies, or quality assurance teams.
• Mentor and train junior warehouse associates on proper handling, storage, and documentation practices.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in warehouse operations.

• 5+ years of warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience in aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturing environments.
• Solid understanding of inventory control practices, ERP/MRP systems, and aerospace documentation standards.
• Certified to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of cleanroom protocols, ESD protection measures, and FOD prevention in aerospace environments.
• Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to safely lift and maneuver materials, including large or oversized aerospace components.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across production, engineering, and quality teams.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
• Preferred Skills
  • Experience with aerospace packaging standards (MIL-STD-2073, NASA-STD-8739).
  • Previous experience supporting satellite, propulsion, or space hardware production.
  • Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma training.
  • ERP/MRP experience (SAP, Oracle, or similar).

• Salary Range: $50,000- $60,000, RSUs
