About STMA Schools We are a district that serves over 6,700 students and employs 750 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.
Position Overview & Responsibilities Responsible for preparing lessons, instructing students with a wide range of abilities, assessing student learning, collecting and analyzing student data to plan instruction, creating an engaging and respectful classroom environment, communicating with students, parent and multiple stakeholders, maintaining accurate records, supervising students, participating in school improvement initiatives and learning professionally. Date Range: could start as soon as October 6, ending no later than May 22, 2025, up to 2 hours on two afternoons per week, after school. Hiring for the full year, but may consider applicants who are only available for one or two trimesters, also.
Salary: $45/hour for current certified staff. Internal Hires only.
Benefits: No additional benefits.
Requirements & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education and required teaching certificate in related area(s) of instruction as required by the State of Minnesota, specific content knowledge, training or job experience required before appointment, and successful student teaching.
