Education
- High School Diploma or GED and/or 30 semester hours of an accredited college or university
- Educational Aide Certificate from state of Texas
Experience
- Some experience working with special education children preferred
Provides instructional assistance to students under the supervision of a certified teacher; assists in preparing, conducting, and managing classroom activities. Provides support facilitation in the general education classroom to support IEP implementation.
Essential FunctionsA teacher assistant in special education is subject to reassignment during the year because of student population shifts; therefore, these may be additional responsibilities.
