Job Summary:

The Secondary Bible Teacher is responsible for providing biblically sound, Christ-centered instruction to middle and/or high school students. This position plays a vital role in the spiritual formation of students by teaching Scripture, biblical doctrine, and Christian worldview while encouraging personal faith development, discipleship, and application of biblical truth to daily life. The Bible Teacher is expected to model mature Christian faith and godly character in all aspects of school life.

  • Curriculum Development
    • Develop and implement apologetic lessons that align with the school’s faith-based mission and academic objectives.
    • Plan engaging lessons that accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
    • Design projects that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and self-expression.
    • Integrate Bible stories, faith-based values, and character education into lessons.
  • Classroom Management
    • Establish a positive and inclusive learning environment
    • Encourage students to express and defend their faith
    • Foster collaboration and teamwork among students
  • Instruction and Assessment
    • Teach fundamental apologetic skills, including debates, discussions and critical thinking rooted in scripture
    • Provide constructive feedback to support academic and spiritual growth
    • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Spiritual Development
    • Model Christ-like behavior and values through actions and interactions with students, serving as a positive role model
    • Facilitate opportunities for students to explore and deepen their faith
  • Parent Communication and Collaboration
    • Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities
