Position: PT INSTRUCTOR-ACCOUNTING (Pool)

Job Summary

Successfully instruct designated entry-level accounting and Quick Books courses in Workforce Continuing Education;
Accounting courses include Accounting I, Accounting II, Introduction to Computerized Accounting, and Computerized Accounting Applications.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates Degree
  • Must be able to show proficiency in Intuit Quick Books
  • Must be available to instruct in afternoons or evenings
  • Preferred Qualifications

    Essential Functions

    • Prepare and communicate clear educational objectives while presenting current and accurate course content to the student
    • Maintain a professional teaching environment
    • Communicate with Training Coordinator regarding room, media and copy needs
    • Maintain control of purchased supplies for class
    • Provide students with evaluation forms for completion
    • Other duties as assigned

    Physical Demands

    Frequently moves equipment or paperwork weighing up to 20 pounds

    Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time

    Use of manual dexterity

    Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation

    The person in this position frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information

    The person in this position needs to occasionally move from office to classroom

    Security Sensitivity

    All Midland College positions are security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code §51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. An employment offer is contingent on completion of a satisfactory criminal background investigation.

    Min Salary $30.00 per hour

    Max Salary $30.00 per hour
