Workshop Controller

Overview

Carco Perth is seeking a Workshop Controller to join our fast-paced team. Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you’ll be a key figure in maintaining our reputation for excellence. As a Workshop Controller, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our service department. Your leadership will inspire the team, while your expertise will ensure customers receive unparalleled service.

• Guide and motivate workshop employees, aligning their efforts with our business goals.
• Deliver outstanding service to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Prioritise and allocate repair orders to Technicians based on urgency and expected completion times.
• Act as the vital link between Technicians and Service Advisors, ensuring smooth information flow.
• Oversee final quality inspections, ensuring all completed vehicles meet the highest standards.
• Maintain and exceed service workshop key performance indicators and manufacturers  customer satisfaction targets.
• Assist Technicians with diagnosing vehicle issues using test drives, system checks, and diagnostic tools.
• Identify training needs and provide development opportunities to enhance team efficiency and skills.
• Maintain a safe and organised work environment, ensuring tools, equipment, and specialty resources are in top condition.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
• Technical knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to monitor and manage workshop performance effectively.
• Prior experience in a similar role within a dealership or service workshop is highly desirable.
