Position SummaryAs Lead Technician you will diagnose drivability and electrical systems, mentor technicians, and lead a customer‑care focused team. This role offers a flat‑rate incentive model and a $24.57 – $41.23 pay range.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair brakes, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
- Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non‑mechanical individuals.
- Stay current with automotive technology through paid formal training.
- Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
- Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least five of A1–A8 within the first two years of employment.
- Valid automobile driver’s license at all times.
- Proficiency in brake diagnosis/repair.
- Proficiency in alignment, steering & suspension diagnosis/repair.
- Proficiency in general automotive maintenance & tire repair.
- Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non‑technical people.
- Reading, writing and math skills.
- Strong understanding of electrical/electronic systems, engine repair, engine performance, automatic transmission/transaxle, manual drivetrain/transmission, or automotive heating/AC.
- Five years of automotive repair experience or a Vocational‑Technical School Program.
- A.S.E. certification in at least 3 of A1–A8 (L1 brakes and steering & suspension A.S.E.s preferred).
