Bandera High School is looking for an experienced Campus Registrar to join the campus office team for the school year.
Bandera ISD is a 4-Day Instructional District (Mon - Thurs)
Purpose: The job of High School Registrar is done for the purpose/s of registering of students and maintaining computerized student records and files; providing student information to authorized parties in compliance with established policies; and providing general clerical support, information and/or direction as assigned
Reports To: Campus Principal, and District PEIMS Director
Start Date: Late Spring 2026 (April/May) is preferable in order to participate in transitional training & planning

Duties- Maintains a variety of manual and electronic documents, files, and records (e.g. grades, transcripts, student information, etc.) for the purpose of providing up-to-date information and/or historical reference in accordance with established administrative guidelines and legal requirements.
- Assists with Student registration
- Evaluates transcripts of incoming students for the purpose of transferring grades and semester credit hours into the student information system.
- Prepares standardized documents and reports for internal and/or external requestors (e.g. core data, report cards, class lists, schedules, form letters and memos, calendars, bulletins, periodic reports, etc.) for the purpose of providing information to essential parties and/or agencies.
- Processes a variety of documents and materials (e.g. transcripts, record requests, job verification, etc.) for the purpose of providing required information in response to requests from students, other districts, colleges/universities and/or employment agencies.
- Researches discrepancies in student records for the purpose of verifying graduation status and ensuring the accuracy of information.
- Responds to questions from a variety of internal and external sources (e.g. staff, other educational institutions, the public, parents and/or students, etc.) for the purpose of providing information and/or direction.
- Verifies student related data (e.g. grades, address, demographic information, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the accuracy of the student records.
- Other duties as assigned to support the campus mission objectives
Minimum Qualifications Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Skillsare required to perform multiple tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating standard office equipment including software and preparing and maintaining accurate records.
Knowledgeincludes to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios; read a variety of manuals, write documents following prescribed formats, and/or present information to others; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. Specific knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: codes, regulations & laws related to student enrollment, graduation and transfer;
and business telephone etiquette.

Flexibility is required to work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; analyze data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using standardized methods. Responsibilities include:
working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; leading, guiding, and/or coordinating others; operating within a defined budget. Generally requires 80% sitting, 10% walking, 10% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
ExperienceJob related experience is desired.
Education (Minimum)High school diploma or equivalent. (College or on-the-job work experience is preferred)
RequirementsMust be able to pass the Texas Department of Public Safety background check, and be cleared to work in the Texas Public School System
