Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description

This position is responsible for receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices for payment. This person will work with a team within the Accounting Department to make sure payables are entered correctly and verified prior to payment.

• Check work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
• Sort, code and match invoices
• Enter and upload invoices into system
• Communicate with vendors
• Maintain filing of invoices
• Process expense report requests
• Manage credit cards
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
• Be proactive in recommending process improvements
• Produce monthly reports
• Provide supporting documentation for audits
• Other duties as may be assigned

• Minimum of two (4) years' experience in a similar position
• Proficient in Excel
• High School Degree required
• Must be detail oriented
• Good communications skills both written and verbal
• Knowledge of accounts payable
• Knowledge of general accounting procedures
• Accurate data entry and 10 key skills

• Experience with Quick Books preferred but not required

• Must complete and pass all required pre-employment screenings.
