Controller, Accounting, Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Midland, Texas, on a contract basis with the potential for a long-term role. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing the company's accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, and improving processes. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization while overseeing critical financial functions.

Responsibilities:

- Manage daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.

- Oversee the monthly financial close process and prepare detailed financial statements.

- Optimize and reconcile general ledger and subledger accounts within SAP Business One.

- Supervise job cost accounting, billing, and revenue recognition for service-related projects.

- Develop and implement strong internal controls to enhance accounting practices.

- Collaborate on audits and regulatory reporting while supporting the transition to new leadership.

- Drive improvements in accounting systems and workflows to increase efficiency. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

- Minimum of 8 years of accounting experience, including leadership roles such as Controller.

- Proficiency in SAP Business One is required.

- Experience in the oil & gas, energy services, or oilfield services industries.

- Strong background in job cost accounting and system optimization.

- Familiarity with month-end and year-end close processes.

- Ability to perform account reconciliations and manage general ledger activities.
