Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, Location Manager or Territory Manager, the Inside Sales Representative is a key member of the Kendall Electric sales team. This role requires a dynamic individual with excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of the products or services offered. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for communicating with customers and vendors, understanding their needs and ensuring a smooth sales process.
The person in this role must be able to build relationships and close sales.
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries
- Communicate with customers and vendors through various channels
- Acknowledge and resolve customer complaints
- Participate in sales and product training sessions
- Process orders and quotes in business system
- Provide vendor portal assistance to customers
- Maintain records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints
- Communicate and coordinate with colleagues, customers, and vendors as necessary
- Explain and articulate product features and applications
- Make recommendations to customers for product selections
- Make outbound calls to customers and follow up on quotes and leads
- Understand customers' needs and identifying sales opportunities
- Maintain a database of current and potential customers
- Provide the customer product submittal sheets for their approval and track their progress
- Close sales and achieve sales targets

- Work Experience
: 2 years' customer service, sales or distribution experience - Education:HS diploma or GED
- Computer
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or computer systems - Organization

Excellent work ethic; good verbal, and written communication skills - Cross-functional skills:Ability to work well cross-functionally and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment
