Acosta is seeking a Business Manager (C-Store) to drive sales and market share in the convenience retail channel. The role focuses on relationship building, sales strategy, and operational excellence to increase profitability for both Acosta and its manufacturers.
Responsibilities- Achieve sales goals, optimizing cost and revenue through merchandising, pricing, commissions, and contests.
- Communicate principals’ priorities to retail managers and key stakeholders, ensuring in‑store alignment.
- Report to the General Manager or Team Leader, supporting new principal introductions and account development.
- Build strong relationships with principals and customers, fostering collaboration and success.
- Coordinate communication between general managers, principals, and retail managers on product launches and promotion drives.
- Conduct market visits and key account calls, leveraging customer and market knowledge to sell principals’ programs.
- Develop sales presentations based on insights from senior leadership to meet principals’ objectives.
- Provide feedback on strategy effectiveness and suggest improvements to principals and management.
- Maintain accurate account distribution data, monitor pricing reports, and track competitive activity.
- Manage personal skill development and train teammates to build organizational capacity.
- Ensure compliance with client policies, manage financials and promotional plans, and take corrective action when needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall business success.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Proven sales track record, preferably with a food broker or national company.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, negotiation, and sales skills.
- Ability to analyze sales and marketing data for effective presentations.
- Proficiency in software packages used for the sales function.
- Willingness to travel as required.
