Role

Summary:

Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, Location Manager or Territory Manager, the Inside Sales Representative is a key member of the Kendall Electric sales team. This role requires a dynamic individual with excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of the products or services offered. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for communicating with customers and vendors, understanding their needs and ensuring a smooth sales process.

The person in this role must be able to build relationships and close sales.##
** Exciting work you will do:
** The essential duties and responsibilities of the Inside Sales Representative position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
* Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers
* Respond promptly to customer inquiries
* Communicate with customers and vendors through various channels
* Acknowledge and resolve customer complaints
* Participate in sales and product training sessions
* Process orders and quotes in business system
* Provide vendor portal assistance to customers
* Maintain records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints
* Communicate and coordinate with colleagues, customers, and vendors as necessary
* Explain and articulate product features and applications
* Make recommendations to customers for product selections
* Make outbound calls to customers and follow up on quotes and leads
* Understand customers’ needs and identifying sales opportunities
* Maintain a database of current and potential customers
* Provide the customer product submittal sheets for their approval and track their progress
* Close sales and achieve sales targets
* Perform other duties and projects as assigned## ##

* ** Work Experience**:  2 years’ customer service, sales or distribution experience

** HS diploma or GED

** Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or computer systems
