Position: Temp - Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg (Nights) Midland MI
The registered nurse will perform direct patient/resident care and delegation to patient care technicians in providing care and comfort to the residents. Knowledge and compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines relating to facility care will be maintained. This position has basic medical/surgical knowledge to care for general surgical and orthopedic surgical patients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(30%)
* Regularly assesses patient's/client's needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician-authorized plan of care, and accepted standards of nursing practice.

(30%)
* Provides direct resident care, including medication administration, treatments, call lights, assisting with transfers, responding to alarms, etc.

(20%)
* Evaluates the effectiveness of the treatment plan and makes suggestions or participates in updating/revising the treatment plan in collaboration with other team members, utilizing current information to improve patient care.

(10%)
* Processes physician/provider orders and performs physician-ordered care accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.

(10%)
* Follows up regarding medication changes and order clarifications.

Requirement description :
JOB IS FOR A SPECIFIC TRAVELER

• 2+ years of Med Surg Experience - Required
• BLS (AHA) & ACLS (AHA) -
  Required
• Travel Experience - Highly Preferred
• Epic Experience - Preferred
• ALL SCHEDULING REQUESTS MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION (Facility will NOT approve scheduling requests at/after time of offer / Please obtain this information prior to submittal / Requests after offer can be cause for rescinded offer)

Profile Requirements:

• Work History
• Skills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty
• 2 Supervisory Reference Forms, taken within the last two years
• Candidates' Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates - 50-mile radius restriction)

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)

• Michigan
