40 - Call Requirement: Approximately 10 call days per month (includes IR/Vascular and STEMI); weekends for call only
- Float: Float to Electrophysiology (EP) required
- Work Setting: On-site, Cardiac Cath Lab
- Experience: Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) experience required
- Electrophysiology (EP): 1+ Years of experience in Electrophysiology required
- License: Active Michigan RN license
- Certifications: Active AHA BLS and AHA ACLS
- Preferred: Interventional Radiology (IR) nursing experience
- Preferred: Epic EMR experience
- Preferred: Cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Preferred: Knowledge/operation of intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
- Travel Eligibility: Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Provide comprehensive Cath Lab nursing care for cardiovascular patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, angiography, and interventional procedures, including pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication, documentation, recovery, and patient education.
- Scrub in for diagnostic and interventional cardiology cases and assist physicians and the Cardiac Cath Lab team during procedures.
- Support additional cardiac diagnostic and procedural services per protocol, which may include stress testing, tilt table testing, cardioversions, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), echocardiograms (NS/Definity), and stress echocardiograms.
- Assist with preparation, procedure, and recovery for interventional radiology (IR) procedures as needed; provide sedation monitoring per policy with accurate documentation.
- Insert PICC lines/perform vascular access per policy and provider order, with appropriate monitoring and documentation.
- Operate and manage specialized Cath Lab/EP equipment and supplies (e.g., hemodynamic monitoring, pacemakers/ICDs, defibrillators, IV pumps, crash cart, point of care glucometer/blood sugar testing).
- Perform monitoring applications and device-related tasks as assigned (e.g., Holter/event monitors, ambulatory BP monitors, pacemaker interrogations).
