The Medication Technician supports resident care within the branch, ensuring that residents’ daily medication needs are met in a compassionate way that maintains their dignity and allows them to live their life to the fullest.
This position offers a full suite of benefits options that vary based on employment status. Some benefits include, but are not limited to:
- Full-time employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and voluntary products

Responsibilities- Accurately follow the resident MAR to ensure medications are given according to Physician’s orders
- Follow the “Six rights of medication administration” and all policies and procedures regarding medication management
- Understand and appropriately utilize the eMAR system for medication administration
- Communicate with clinical leadership for clarification and direction regarding resident medication administration and care
- Provide direct resident care; supervise resident care work of non-licensed team members as appropriate
- Demonstrate the Bickford Mission “Whatever it Takes” to all team members on shift
- Active Medication Technician Certification in good standing or at least one year of experience in the care of seniors
- High School Diploma or GED
- Willing to take additional training or education as required by specific states
- CPR and First Aid certifications are required
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational and time management skills
- Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to utilize or learn Bickford’s eMAR system
