Overview

Starting at $17.50 per hour. Hiring all shifts. Join our dynamic team at Bickford Senior Living as a Medication Technician. The Medication Technician supports resident care within the branch, ensuring that residents’ daily medication needs are met in a compassionate way that maintains their dignity and allows them to live their life to the fullest.

This position offers a full suite of benefits options that vary based on employment status. Some benefits include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities
  • Accurately follow the resident MAR to ensure medications are given according to Physician’s orders
  • Follow the “Six rights of medication administration” and all policies and procedures regarding medication management
  • Understand and appropriately utilize the eMAR system for medication administration
  • Communicate with clinical leadership for clarification and direction regarding resident medication administration and care
  • Provide direct resident care; supervise resident care work of non-licensed team members as appropriate
  • Demonstrate the Bickford Mission “Whatever it Takes” to all team members on shift
Qualifications
  • Active Medication Technician Certification in good standing or at least one year of experience in the care of seniors
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Willing to take additional training or education as required by specific states
  • CPR and First Aid certifications are required
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to utilize or learn Bickford’s eMAR system
