SummaryBroker/Wholesale Mortgage Processor role – Act as support staff between the Loan Officer (Broker) and Wholesale Lender. They make sure that loan applications are complete and free of mistakes, evaluate financial documents for loan eligibility and ensure that closing deadlines are met.
Knowledge, Experience And Skills Required- Education:
High School. College Degree in Business or Finance preferred but not required. - Experience:
Loan Processing, regulatory reporting, banking, working with mortgage loans, or a combination of experience in those areas. Understanding of Non-QM space, staying on top of industry trends. 2 to 3 years of broker/wholesale lending processing experience preferred but not required. - Skills:
Ability to understand regulatory/financial requirements, high sense of urgency, determine if documentation is accurate and conditions are met, exceptional customer service skills with outstanding attention to detail. - Systems:
Microsoft 365 office suite, Loan Origination System (Empower preferred).
Participate in additional training on sales, technology, products, procedures and pricing on an ongoing basis. Complete annual training as required by company policy and law on an annual basis in a timely manner.
Responsibilities- Ensure a high customer satisfaction rating through corresponding regularly to outside parties such as title agents and borrowers.
- Act as a liaison between LO (broker) and Wholesale Lender with effective communication, register and complete all file uploads, own the file from beginning of the process through closing, learn nuances of all different lender sites, stay up to date with lender guidelines and processes.
- Discuss account status or activity with customer, borrower, title agent and loan contact team members through email or phone.
- Complete Processor Attestation on each loan and ensure required documentation from wholesale lender is uploaded into the software platform, “Empower”.
- Obtain, examine and edit service level agreements (SLA’s), credit information, title report, homeowners insurance, appraisals and flood certificates to identify or verify concerns, completeness and accuracy prior to loan approval.
- Modify administrative work procedures, processes or plans with assigned loan officer(s) to ensure that all contractual dates such as mortgage contingency, closing date, rate lock expiration are met as well as prepare for future pipeline.
- Read all internally provided newsletter and bulletins to remain current on corporate policies, procedures, product guidelines and industry changes.
- Attend and participate in all Monthly Awards Ceremonies, Corporate Gatherings & Training Events.

- Judgement and Decision Making: Detect and report suspicious activity in order to prevent fraudulent claims and comply with federal law.

- Resource Management: Accurately assess situations to determine if collaboration with teammates or subject matter experts are required in order to maximize workplace efficiency.
- Mortgage Industry Knowledge: Familiarity and/or exposure to mortgage terminology, procedures and regulations in order to shorten the duration of on the job training.
