SAIC is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician to support the Middletown Rhode Island Operations in the building of military testing and ancillary equipment.
Job Duties- Fabricate electronic / electro-mechanical test equipment
- Fabricate wire cables and harnesses
- Inspect, test, and perform qualification processes for systems and sub-assemblies
- Troubleshoot technical issues to functionality and compliance
- Manage the accuracy of the technical documentation with engineering team
- Communicate and work with engineering technical support team and customers to resolve issues related to the system design and functionality
- High school diploma or GED certificate and five (5) years' experience.
- Preferred technical education and training in a relative vocational field.
- Minimum of (5) years of manufacturing experience building electro‑mechanical systems, cables, and harnesses.
- Prior or existing certifications in IPC/WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001 certification or minimum proven experience working to standards.
- Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems fabrication a plus.
- Ability to read all relative technical documentation including drawings and wire diagrams.
- Ability to use a variety of precision measuring tools, including digital multi meters, micrometers, calipers, and other similar metrology devices.
- Attention to detail.
- Must be able to obtain Secret security clearance.
