SAIC is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician to support the Middletown Rhode Island Operations in the building of military testing and ancillary equipment.

• Fabricate electronic / electro-mechanical test equipment
• Fabricate wire cables and harnesses
• Inspect, test, and perform qualification processes for systems and sub-assemblies
• Troubleshoot technical issues to functionality and compliance
• Manage the accuracy of the technical documentation with engineering team
• Communicate and work with engineering technical support team and customers to resolve issues related to the system design and functionality

• High school diploma or GED certificate and five (5) years' experience.
• Preferred technical education and training in a relative vocational field.
• Minimum of (5) years of manufacturing experience building electro‑mechanical systems, cables, and harnesses.
• Prior or existing certifications in IPC/WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001 certification or minimum proven experience working to standards.
• Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems fabrication a plus.
• Ability to read all relative technical documentation including drawings and wire diagrams.
• Ability to use a variety of precision measuring tools, including digital multi meters, micrometers, calipers, and other similar metrology devices.
• Attention to detail.
• Must be able to obtain Secret security clearance.
