Assistant Manager

Essential Function: Store Managers are responsible for hiring, developing, and leading all store associates while ensuring optimal customer experiences, overseeing all store operations, and maintaining brand standards. Assistant Managers support the Store Manager in all areas outlined below and are responsible for all Primary Duties when the Store Manager is not present.

• 30% Brand:
  Supervise and support associate daily goals and activities to deliver an exceptional client experience, maximize sales/KPIs, and drive customer loyalty. Ensure all brand standards are met such as merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc. Act as the main point of contact to resolve customer issues and analyze store trends.
• 30% People:
  Engage, train and develop teams to achieve positive results. Recruit and build a strong network of external candidates. Identify strengths and opportunities for each associate, hold team accountable to company policies, resolve associate concerns, and foster an environment of diversity, inclusion and belonging.
• 30% Operations:
  Execute company processes through training, management, analysis and continuous improvement. Utilize electronic strategies such as Omni‑channel fulfillment (SFS/SDD/BOPIS). Manage inventory, ordering, shipment processing, payroll hours, scheduling, opening/closing procedures, and assign projects. Ensure all store opening and closing procedures are performed correctly.
• 10% Safety/Loss Prevention:
  Ensure a safe store environment, enforce policies, protect company assets, analyze reporting tools, and maintain compliance with HAZMAT training and execution.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience (preferred).
• At least 1+ year prior management experience (preferred).
• Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives.
• Effective communication with team and management.
• Scheduling availability to meet business needs.
• Cosmetology license desirable, but not required.

• Physical exertion: long periods of standing, walking, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, and repetitive lifting.
• Environment includes retail store settings with typical safety precautions, risk of trips/falls, adequate lighting, heating, and ventilation.
