Position Summary

Repairs and maintains machinery, mechanical equipment and facility which includes engines, motors, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, conveyors, production equipment and building equipment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all equipment
  • Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team on assigned shift
  • Train and mentor assigned shift staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Take the lead on plant project work
  • Report and elevate major issues to the Maintenance Manager
  • Assign work orders and monitor progress to ensure timely completion
  • Schedule and preventative maintenance on equipment and building
  • Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to identify the location of their problems
  • Dismantle and reassemble equipment that is in need of repair
  • Examine forms and texture of parts to detect imperfections
  • Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments
  • Install new or repair current defective parts
  • Install special functional and structural parts in devices
  • Lubricate and clean parts
  • Start devices to assure their performance
  • Set up and operate various maintenance equipment to repair parts
  • Track work that is performed on equipment
  • Address issues of future needed equipment
  • Observe all safety policies and procedures, including LOTO
  • Ability to work in excess of 40 hours, as business needs arise
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Any other task or duty that is deemed necessary by management

Work Environment / Physical Demands

Fast paced environment, requiring adaptation to continuous changes in Company, Customer and People needs

  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arm’s length, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications
  • GED or High school diploma, preferred
  • 18 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with systems mentioned above

Shift schedule:
Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7:00am to 7:00pm
