Position Summary

The Assistant Toddler Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in creating a warm, structured, and developmentally appropriate classroom for toddlers. This role is ideal for a caring, dependable educator who enjoys working with young children and is eager to grow professionally in early childhood education.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Coursework in Early Childhood Education, CDA (in progress or completed), or prior toddler classroom experience (preferred)
  • Experience working with toddlers or young children at least 2 years
  • Ability to meet state licensing and TLE requirements
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Lead Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and classroom activities
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
  • Assist with daily routines including diapering, potty training, meals, nap time, and transitions
  • Actively engage with children through play, conversation, and positive guidance
  • Observe children’s behavior and development and share insights with the Lead Teacher
  • Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations
  • Communicate respectfully and professionally with families and team members
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
