Position: Adams' Salad Bar Supervisor (Full Time, Flexible Schedule)

What we're looking for

Adams Supervisors are expected to support management and department functions to provide friendly service to our valuable customers, ensuring that each experience reflects the commitment to providing quality products that Adams is known for. For the Salad Bar Supervisor, this means assisting the department manager in overseeing the operations and workflow of the Salad Bar with varying responsibilities to ensure that customers always have a superior experience.

Your Day-to-Day

• Supervise and support salad bar staff, ensuring smooth operations and proper training.
• Maintain a fresh, fully stocked, and visually appealing salad bar throughout the day.
• Ensure cleanliness and compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Provide excellent customer service with a friendly and efficient approach.
• Assist with inventory management and supply ordering as needed.
• Support the kitchen team during busy periods or staff absences, helping with prep and product rotation.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and food safety knowledge, with flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
• Oversee daily operations of the Salad Bar, delegating tasks to associates to support smooth workflows and excellent customer service
• Monitor inventory levels and place Salad Bar orders with vendors to maintain proper stock
• Train and mentor new Salad Bar associates by providing hands-on guidance, demonstrating proper techniques, sharing company policies, and fostering their professional growth to help them excel in their roles
• If assigned, participate in job interviews and/or disciplinary discussions
• Contribute and assist with the responsibilities of Salad Bar associates and leads

• Salad Bar professional experience
• Knowledge on how to run the salad bar and help customers in any way possible
• Commit to a safe and clean workspace
• Friendly and welcoming environment for all customers and co-workers at the salad bar
• Ability demonstrate and set the example of Adams' culture and values
• Ability to operate and train others on Adams' point of sale systems
• Work collaboratively and communicate with a team of co-workers and managers
• Exhibit enthusiasm, positivity and/or knowledge about Adams' products and quality

Working Conditions

• Ability to work varied hours/days to oversee department operations
• Ability to communicate and exchange information so others will understand
• Consistently move, adjust, and position items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods combined with frequent movement in a fast-paced environment
• Occasionally ascend/descend a stepstool, stepladder, and/or ladder
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers for duration of shift
• Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces

The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions - including skill sets, experience, training, certifications and other business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $18.50 - $27.75. At Adams, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation.
