Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager
Trueline Talent’s client, a growing design and landscape services firm in NJ with a strong residential and commercial project portfolio, is seeking a General Manager / Operations to drive operational excellence and scale the business in a hands‑on environment. This role is ideal for someone with substantial experience in landscape, construction, or site development who can enhance processes from sales through fulfillment while leading and coaching a project management team.
WhatYou Will Do as the General Manager / Operations Leader
- Lead and improve the end-to-end operational process including estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and project delivery. Coach, structure, and guide project managers to elevate performance and consistency across teams.
- Develop and implement workflows, operational standards, and tools to support growth.
- Partner with leadership to refine the sales-to-execution process so profitability and job costing are clear and actionable.
- Bring structure to planning, forecasting, and budgeting to support strategic decision making.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies and systems that support scaling and efficiency.
- Proven experience in operations management within landscape, site development, or related construction services.
- Strong understanding of estimating, job costing, and budgeting practices.
- Ability to organize and build operational frameworks and workflows.
- Big picture thinker who can create structure without slowing down a high‑energy team.
- Excellent communicator and collaborative leader who elevates others.
- Comfortable in a family‑oriented, entrepreneurial culture that requires flexibility and resourcefulness.
- Background in landscape design/build and plant/softscape knowledge.
- Experience with 2D/3D design or rendering workflows.
- Prior experience scaling a business or leading acquisitions.
