Following a written plan of care by a registered nurse, you’ll provide personal care, household support, and companion care (homemaker) services to help adults stay safe and independent Assisting Hands CHHA, or Live-in, you’ll have the opportunity to develop close relationships with your clients while you help them with:
Activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, etc.Household support: light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, etc.Meal preparation and feedingRange of motion/exercisesAssisting with ambulation (Transfers/use of mechanical lifting devices)Medication remindersLocations:

Qualifications:
One (1) year experience in the home or long-term care setting is preferred.Current HHA - Home Health Aide license listed in good standing with the boardNo license? We offer Home Health Aide Certification coursesPrimary Duties:
Maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment within the client’s residence.Performance of all personal care activities contained in a written Plan of Care.Providing nutritional support as needed.Reporting changes in the client’s condition.Assisting with the use of devices for aid to daily living.Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises.Teaching household routine and skills to family members.Measuring intake and output of fluids.Measuring and recording temperature, pulse, respiration, or blood pressure.Keeping records of personal health care activities.Observing appearance and gross behavioral changes in the client and reporting to the agency supervisor.Assisting the client with self-administration of medication.Abiding by the agency’s infection control policies.Abiding by all policies and procedures outlined in the agency’s Policy and Procedure Manual.Hours: Dependent on assignment;
Shifts available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week and based on availability. Assisting Hands does not guarantee hours.
