Locum-to-Perm Family Practice Physician
Position Overview:
Atlanti Care is seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician for a locum-to-permanent role within Atlanti Care Primary Care in Rio Grande, New Jersey. This opportunity is ideal for physicians interested in transitioning from a temporary assignment to a permanent position. The role offers a stable, rewarding environment focused on providing comprehensive outpatient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outpatient primary care services to adult patients in a Level II trauma-designated setting.
- Conduct adult medical assessments, diagnosis, and treatment plans.
- Interpret electrocardiograms (EKGs) accurately to support patient care.
- Perform occupational health evaluations, including disability and occupational medicine exams.
- Document patient encounters accurately using the Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Adhere to established clinical guidelines, protocols, and best practices to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Active New Jersey medical license (or eligible and able to obtain licensing within approximately 90 days).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
- Prior experience in primary care or family medicine is preferred.
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently in a busy outpatient setting.
- Day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with no call, inpatient responsibilities, or emergency department backup required.
- Position aligns with ongoing coverage needs due to provider departure.
- Travel reimbursement available for local providers; mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rates.
- Credentialing process estimated to take approximately 90 days.
- Practice utilizes Cerner EMR; familiarity preferred but not mandatory.
